ACCOMMODATION

CHC offers a variety of accommodation for staff, students, visitors and external organisations.

NTI nursing students are accommodated in separate male and female hostels; each has a warden as well as cooks, cleaners, guards and laundry facilities. A microbus is available to transport students to classes outside CHC and to the examination centre in Rangamati Sadar Hospital. Elective students and other young visitors can also be accommodated in the hostels.

Visiting medical teams or other short-term guests can be accommodated in three separate buildings:

• Our main guest house has room for up to 25 guests in 8 rooms. Each room has air conditioning, fan, storage space and a recently renovated private bathroom with shower. All beds have mosquito nets available. The guest-house provides all meals and a daily laundry service, and is equipped with a dining room and 2 separate sitting areas with television/DVD and radio/CD player. Internet access can be achieved with wireless modem for laptops. The guest house is staffed by a caretaker and kitchen staff. All meals are prepared and scheduled to suit the needs of visitors.

• For other short-term or long-term visitors or workers, we also have 4 self-contained 2-bedroomed flats which may be available for families or individuals to rent. These were newly built in 2006, and all have tiled floors throughout, air-conditioning, fans, a kitchen and 2 separate bathrooms with showers.

• In addition we have a further 5 rooms available within the hospital campus on top of the hill, with dining room, kitchen, sitting room and bathrooms.

We also have a self-contained training centre within CHC which can accommodate up to 60 trainees at any one time, and has its own accommodation including attached bathrooms, catering and dining facilities.
